Teddy and I checked out the new Edwards bowl on Thursday. It might be difficult to see in this picture, but the waterfall has a hump on one side. This makes for one very large waterfall, and things get real fast and scary in the deep. Click for larger size.
We also skated the new Snowmass park, twice. It's got three main areas: A big bowl with a deep square side, a backyard-type snowman-shaped bowl, and a flow area with a few interesting walls. The coping in the two bowls is Tedder stone, like the stuff in the shallow at Bennett.
This picture of the larger bowl doesn't do it justice. The deep end is very deep with a generous amount of vertical wall. And with the squared corners, it's fast. Click for larger size.

Over the stairs!! How would you rank the pool in terms of difficulty?? How do you like Dreamland parks?
The stairs took me a long time. It wasn't until the end of the second day that I started making it. But once I got it, I could make it every time. Strange.
Snowmass was a lot of fun. It's the only Dreamland park that I've skated. The pool is more difficult than Nederland, but easier to skate than Bennett and Spring Canyon (and easier to just carve around). Of course the stairs will limit your lines, and it's not easy to avoid them. The waterfall is good, and allows for good speed. In contrast, Nederalnd's waterfall is a bit small, and other waterfalls at other parks seem too gradual to allow for a good quick pump. It's kind of easy to do a side-by-side comparison of Snowmass with Nederland, since they each have three similar sections (flow, big bowl, and backyarder). Snowmass is better, IMO, in all three sections.
What's with your right arm action on the drop in? It kinda looks like you're trying to spank someone...
BTW, AWESOME skating by you and Teddy.
Perhaps I was swatting flies.
It wasn't meant to be negative.
It's a move I'm all too familiar with when I hit the tT bars.
Actually, I have that same move when I drop-in a tight pool.
I might have been rolling dice at the time.
that Edwards bowl with the cradle looks so fun!
and that pool at snowmass as well as the bowl looks awesome too.
Definitely looks deserving of a trip.
